Welcome to the Winning with Class podcast! The goals for the show are simple:
- Through inspiring guests and stories, to help us all build and maintain winning with class lives by challenging ourselves to live by high standards, principles and priorities.
- To help us take all that results from the individual pursuit in the first goal and share it with all of our teams – our families, our sports teams, our communities, our country and beyond.
We will pursue these goals by exploring the worlds of sports, business, non-profit and more to bring you the best possible guests and stories….And, we will have a GOOD TIME TOGETHER with YOU while we do all of the above….we need a little more of this, don’t we?
Help us build it! To help us build the best show possible, please let us know WHAT and/or WHO you would like to see on the winning with class podcast…email at info@winningwithclass.com.
Thank you!

What they’re saying about the 124 system, book and podcast…
“Bill's message and 124 Lifeset model are both empowering and demanding of self-accountability. You can work towards the person you want to be, but it takes consistent practice and intentional purpose. Bill connected with our coaches, student-athletes, and faculty throughout his visit to our school.
A Winning with Class podcast would allow many people to discuss and share ideas surrounding young people living their best lives. The 124 Lifeset System gives students & people a chance to take ownership of their lives, and presenting that material through a podcast would grant many more people the opportunity to learn and grow into their best selves. Having guests from all aspects of the sports world and beyond will allow listeners to hear a variety of perspectives and experiences.”
Paul Augustus, CAA
Director of Athletics, MS & US

“I think the 124 Lifeset System is great. I especially like the aspect of asking ourselves whether or not we like what we see in the mirror. I also like the focus on one’s path of progress. The entire Lifeset System is very digestible for somebody just starting out on their leadership or self-help journey. I have done a lot of reading from Sun Tzu to John Wooden to the Bible – the 124 Lifeset system is very good and hits on many of the same elements that I personally value. I look forward to checking out the podcast!”

“I really like the winning with class podcast idea. I think most coaches are always looking to learn others’ secrets on how to win and also how to win the right way.”
Stephanie Gaitley

“I like the Winning with Class 124 Lifeset system. I believe self-evaluation is one of the most powerful tools for improvement. Creating easy steps in starting that process, as this Lifeset System does, can help many. I will also be interested in both the Winning with Class book and podcast as they will both provide ways for my players to coach themselves and grow in the process. As a coach, I am always looking for ways my players can do both.”
James Barnes
Head Volleyball Coach
University of Iowa
“I look forward to the podcast as I enjoy and value conversations about team culture, growth mindset, etc.”
Nathaniel Lie

“The ECC was happy to welcome Bill Macbeth as the keynote speaker to the first part of our 2021 Spring Conference SAAC meetings. His "Winning with Class 1-2-4 Lifeset System" provides easy to understand concepts which are based on compelling stories and experiences from so many leaders in the world of sport. His mission is to help communities and individuals develop the skills and mindsets necessary, especially today, to achieve a better world by working together. In addition, the work he is doing to support Alex's Lemonade Stand is outstanding. Great message, great mission, great cause.”
Dr. Robert Dranoff

“I really thought the 124 Lifeset system was an excellent program. It really gave me time to reflect upon topics that I have not really put much thought into before. It for sure could strengthen mental health and confidence because the Lifeset System makes you reflect upon what you’re doing well. And, even when addressing my downfalls, I thought it was spun in a positive light, as a way to grow and improve myself. I would love a book of high-profile personalities because I am always interested in how people like that make it to a high level and what makes them tick. I would definitely read it to gain insight into those people. I would also be interested in the podcast for the same reason - it would be a fun way to get into the brains of highly successful people, to see what works for them.”

“I think the 124 Lifeset system would be great for parents and coaches to go through with their athletes - as long as the athletes were given space to answer on their own and honestly. Truthful answers are what we seek - if that is done, it is very beneficial for all. I liked the Lifeset System overall as it helps you develop positive habits that can be turned into actions and responses. It simplifies a difficult topic that is difficult to talk about for many. I believe every athlete would benefit if they let their guard down, put their ego away, and dig in. It’s not a quick fix - it’s a life changing, permanent foundational fix - so, it takes time and effort. I loved it for me, my kids and my athletes.”
Dennis Papadatos
Head Wrestling Coach

“Our students need to hear how THEY DO have control over parts of their lives if they are intentional with thinking about it. Most students and people in general do not take the time to think about what power they have...what they can change in their lives, rather; they dwell upon those outside forces that they cannot control. Today, we are slowly being conditioned that we are all victims of our environment and circumstances depending on some superfluous identity we have been assigned. Mr. Macbeth provided tools that these students can use to make their lives better and not merely be victims along for a ride destined by a cold society.”
Kenneth Kimmel, Faculty member
Louisville Collegiate School
“I really like the overall simplicity of the 124 Lifeset System. I also like how the “level 2” includes having young people take a good look at their path of progress and how they can protect it from things that may derail them. Finally, having it end with a plan of action is great – words into ACTION is huge and this Lifeset System incorporates that with the last of the 4 steps. I am definitely interested in both the winning with class book and the podcast!”

“I personally would be interested in a podcast with that subject matter. I enjoy learning about how others go about their routines, habits, and interactions with others that they believe play into their success.”
Conor Burke

“I think this is a great idea and I would definitely subscribe. I think it is a lost art to win with class, as some people, programs, teams etc are all about the winning and doing it as ruthlessly as possible. Looking forward to the podcast.”
Manya Puppione

“I really like the 124 Lifeset System. I especially like how simple it is to follow. Also, I like the following about the Lifeset System: how it focuses on the process as opposed to chasing perfection, the manner in which the Lifeset System asks people to check on their current state as well as their path of progress. Finally, the final four seteps of the Lifeset System are great and will be very helpful to young people in terms of showing them what comes next in their lives.
I love to read books and would be more than happy to read the Winning with Class book when it comes out. If you pay enough attention, then you’ll notice there are patterns within successful organizations and programs. This book helps identify some of those.
When driving, I’m a big fan of listening to podcasts and so I’ll be more than happy to listen to the Winning with Class podcast. It’s one thing to read a book and it’s another to hear two or more people discuss it. They can go share stories that make the material even easier to understand and apply.”
Chris Citowicki
Head Men’s Soccer Coach
University of Montana
“The Winning with Class 124 Lifeset System presentation itself was engaging, especially towards an audience that comprised athletes from all kinds of sports. The interactive feel that you weaved into the presentation helped me, as I learn a lot better when I or someone in the crowd is able to respond to a question like those you asked in the middle of the presentation. In some presentations I've had the opportunity to listen to, the speaker didn't do as good a job relaying the message they were trying to convey and sounded more like he/she was talking at us rather than talking to us. You did a good job of creating the atmosphere of a conversation rather than a lecture. Overall, I don't know how the presentation itself could be better. I love how you brought in examples of those you interviewed personally and people that we might know of that have had a significant impact on society as well as people we look up to. That also helped me engage and listen to what you had to say and I'm positive that did the same for others as well. I believe this is a Lifeset System that I can utilize to help me create a strong foundation with good habits that can propel me to living and leading a successful life. The 1.2.4 system helps make a seemingly complicated process simple and easy to understand. When utilized by teams and organizations it can help unify those groups of people and also help them prioritize what's really important in their lives. It can also can promote accountability within the group because, as a social species, we cannot undertake changing old habits alone which is why community and accountability is of utmost importance. I would definitely be interested in purchasing the book! I would also be interested in listening to your podcast. Incorporating conversations with people from all kinds of different backgrounds will help engage an even broader audience than the people who were in the gym for our presentation.”
